One person was killed after an alleged drunk driver in a pickup truck hit a motorcycle carrying two riders Saturday morning, according to the Modesto Police Department.

MPD responded around 9:30 a.m. to a crash at Yosemite Boulevard and Phoenix Avenue involving the truck and motorcycle. The two people officers found on the road were transported to a local hospital according to a press release by MPD.

MPD did not have details on the other rider’s condition, but said the person was expected to survive.

The crash occurred when the pickup turned onto Phoenix while traveling eastbound on Yosemite, striking the motorcycle, MPD reported.
