A young Modesto child found walking alone prompts 3-hour search for parents
A young child that was found walking Saturday morning in southwest Modesto was reunited with her parents, Modesto police said.
The Modesto Police Department asked the public for help on social media with finding the parents of the young girl. A citizen called 911 shortly after 7 a.m. to report the child walking alone in the area of Paradise Road and Ellen Avenue.
Police responded and located the child.
A police watch commander said at 10:45 a.m. that the parents were located and reunited with the 5-year-old girl.
Officers are investigating how the parents were separated from the child.
