Major injuries in vehicle collision in Turlock, fire department reports

Two people were involved in a two-vehicle collision in Turlock on Friday evening and one was taken to a hospital with major injuries, according to the Turlock Fire Department.

Responders received a call at 9:18 p.m. about the collision near the intersection of West Monte Vista Avenue and North Golden State Boulevard, fire department Battalion Chief Chad Hackett said.

Hackett said one person had major injuries and was transported to a local hospital. The other declined medical treatment.

The Turlock Police Department assisted with the incident. There was no additional information Saturday about the collision or the condition of the person sent to the hospital.
