From retailers to restaurants, several Stanislaus County businesses are hiring part-time positions for seasonal work.
The Modesto Bee looked through online job boards including Indeed, LinkedIn and ZipRecruiter to find open positions available to teens.
Here are 10 job opportunities in the Modesto area, including descriptions of the available positions and how much they pay:
Chuck E. Cheese
- Location: 3037 Sisk Road, Modesto
- Pay: $16.50 to $17.50 per hour
Chuck E. Cheese is looking to hire a kid check attendant.
This role is responsible for helping children leave with the right adults after enjoying their time at the restaurant.
Applicants must be at least 15 years old.
Forever 21
- Location: 2693 Countryside Drive, Turlock
- Pay: $16 hourly
Forvever 21 is looking to hire a sales associate.
Sales associates are responsible for creating a welcoming environment for customers, handling cashier duties and promoting sales.
Applicants must be at least 16.
Raising Cane’s
- Location: 3801 Pelandale Ave., Suite F1, Modesto
- Pay: $20 an hour
Raising Cane’s is looking to fill the position of restaurant crewmember.
Duties include lifting and moving items, as well as cleaning, taking orders, following safety rules and helping customers.
Applicants must be 16 or older.
Panera Bread
- Location: 3401 Dale Road, Suite 800, Modesto
- Pay: $20 to $23 per hour
Panera Bread is looking to hire a cashier.
The cashier is responsible for knowing the menu, ringing up orders and helping customers with questions or requests.

Yogurt Mill

- Pay: $16.50 an hour
Yogurt Mill is looking to hire a squad member.
Squad members are responsible for maintaining stores clean, swirling frozen yogurt and serving customers.

Responsibilities include taking customer orders, preparing food and helping maintain clean work areas.

- Pay: $16.50 to $23.85 per hour
Kohl’s is looking to hire a store merchandising associate.
The store merchandising associate is responsible for helping organize products on the sales floor, making sure prices are correct, tidying displays and assisting customers.
Applicants must be at least 16.
McDonald’s
- Location: 12101 Yosemite Blvd., Waterford
- Pay: $20 an hour
McDonald’s is looking to fill the position of crew team member.
Duties include taking orders, preparing food and helping customers.

Olive Garden
- Location: 2749 Countryside Drive, Turlock
- Pay: $16 to $21 per hour
Olive Garden is looking to hire a dishwasher.
Dishwashers are responsible for cleaning and sanitizing plates, utensils and glassware.
For most hourly positions, the minimum age to work at Olive Garden is 16, a company representative said previously told The Modesto Bee.
CVS Pharmacy
- Location: 1520 East F St., Oakdale
- Pay: $16.50 to $22 per hour
CVS Pharmacy is hiring a store associate to join its team.
Store associates are responsible for providing customer service, performing cashier duties and restocking shelves.
