Ready to splash and swim? Here are dates and hours of Stanislaus facilities

With days of triple-digit temperatures upon us, Stanislaus County public pools are opening for summer. From splash pads at parks for the young ones, to lap swimming and even special programs for seniors and the disabled, there’s a refreshing option for all.

Recreational Swim

Graceada Park pool: Swimming for kids 12 and under. Monday-Friday, 1-4 p.m.

Davis High School: All-ages swim. Monday-Saturday, 1-4 p.m.

Johansen High School: All-ages swim. Monday-Friday, 1-4 p.m., and Saturday, 5-8 p.m.

Empire

Regional Water Safety Training Center: Admission is $4.50 for kids and adults per swim session, kids 1 and under free. 209-238-0870, 10 I St.

Tuesday-Sunday, May 31 through Aug. 31: session 1, noon-2 p.m.; session 2, 2:30-4:30 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday only, Aug. 31 through Sept. 1: session 1, noon-2 p.m.; session 2, 2:30-4:30 p.m.

Turlock

Pitman High School: June 9 through July 31, Monday-Thursday, 12:30-2 p.m. Closed June 30 through July 10.

Admission is $1, ages 17 and under, and $3 ages 18 and older. Children 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult. 209-668-5594. 2525 W. Christoffersen Parkway.

Columbia Park Pool: Open now Saturdays and Sundays only, noon to 5 p.m. Summer hours begin June 9, Monday-Thursday, 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. 600 Columbia St.

Turlock High: Opens June 9, Monday-Thursday, 12:30-2:30 p.m. 1600 E. Canal Drive.

Patterson

Patterson Aquatic Center: June 9 through Aug. 10, daily, 12:15-3:15 p.m.

Admission is $3 regular, $2 seniors, and $1 to enter but not swim. 209-895-8188. 1025 W. Las Palmas Ave.

Riverbank

Riverbank Community Pool: Open now until mid-August, Monday-Friday, 1-3:30 p.m, Saturday, 12-4 p.m. Admission is $3. 209-863-7150. Corner of Seventh and Stanislaus streets.

Oakdale

Royse Memorial Pool: Opens May 31, Weekdays, noon to 4 p.m; weekends, noon to 5 p.m.

Admission is $1 for children 13 and under, $2 ages 14 and up. 209-845-3568. 555 N. Third Ave.

Senior and Disabled Swimming

A drop-in program for seniors and disabled persons. Pool is indoors and a swim card is required for admission. No cash accepted on site. Financial aid available. Call 209-577-5344 for more information.

Sonoma Elementary School pool: Monday-Thursday, 3:30-5 p.m. $2 per swim.
