The state of California is hiring employees in Stanislaus County for full-time positions ranging from scientist to veterinarians and engineer.

Associate safety engineer | Permanent, full time

  • Department: Industrial Relations
  • Salary: $9,430 to $11,797 per month

Under the general direction of the district manager, the associate safety engineer is responsible for safety engineering work in construction, electrical and industrial functions.

This includes the most difficult safety inspections, accident investigations, consultations and journey-level assignment related to construction, electrica, and industrial occupational safety and health throughout the state.

Environmental scientist | Permanent, full time

  • Department: Food and Agriculture
  • Salary: $4,269 to $8,877 per month

The environmental scientist will conduct environmental health inspections on dairy farms and at milk processing plants.

Other duties including gathering scientific data; researching and investigating food safety hazards; testing pasteurization equipment for proper operation and food safety controls and providing analytical expertise and reports on specific food safety parameters on dairy farms, milk processing plants, bulk milk haulers and other dairy food.

Supervising veterinarian | Permanent, full time

  • Department: Food and Agriculture
  • Salary: $9,851 to $12,286 per month

The supervising veterinarian plans, organizes, coordinates and directs complex activities related to administrative, animal health, food safety, emergency management or other special programs and functions.

The supervising veterinarian manages livestock disease prevention and activities.

Other duties include coordinating and providing technical recommendations on activities to reduce, prevent and detect reportable animal diseases, both foreign and domestic.

Veterinarian | Permanent, full time

  • Department: Food and Agriculture
  • Salary: 6,669 to $10,513 per month

The veterinarian plans, organizes and coordinate animal health management activities; diagnosing livestock and poultry diseases; performing tests and necropsies and collecting samples from animals and the environment.

The veterinarian also interprets laboratory test results, completes comprehensive reports on diagnosis, reviews completed cases for appropriate action and investigates the epidemiology of livestock and poultry disease outbreaks.

Other duties include controling, monitoring and eradicating livestock and poultry diseases.
