Update: List of winners in Modesto’s disco-themed holiday parade of lights

The weather was mild and the crowd was wild for the colorful, often musical entries in Modesto’s Celebration of Lights Holiday Parade on Saturday night.

The theme this year was “Downtown Disco,” which meant many a mirror ball and a slew of sequins amid the marching bands, floats and illuminated vehicles that weaved through the downtown streets.

Here are the winners by category division of the Celebration of Lights Parade:

• Jr High School Band Division – Ustach Middle School

• High School Band Division 1A & 2A– Beyer High School Band and Color Guard

• High School Band Division 3A & 4A– Enochs High School Marching Band

• Non-Profit Division – Ballet Folkorico Los Falcones

• Small Commercial Business Division – Guardado General Builder INC

• Youth Division – Shiloh 4-H

• Classic Vehicle Division – Iron Cross VW Car Club

• Large Commercial Business Division – Frito Lay

• Community Division – Luv2Dance

• Overall Sweepstakes Winner – Roberts Auto/My Little Balloon Company Co./Valley Music Institute
