Details slim regarding Stanislaus County man killed in solo vehicle crash into concrete box

A Newman man was killed in a solo vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in Newman, near the intersection of Balsam Drive and Sherman Parkway, police confirmed.

The man was identified by the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office as 38-year-old Gabriel Munoz. According to CHP logs, Munoz drove his red Chevrolet into a concrete box at about 3 p.m.

The Newman Police Department said publicly available details were not available yet and that a press release, or incident summary, had not been put together as of Monday.

NPD is investigating the crash.
