Big-rig collision causes closure, delays and traffic on Highway 99

A traffic collision involving a big-rig and a car on Highway 99, just south of Briggsmore Avenue, forced multiple lanes to be closed at about 1:30 p.m.

No one was injured in the collision.

CalTrans announced the number one lanes on both the northbound and southbound lanes of Highway 99 near Briggsmore Ave. would be closed until Tuesday morning while damage to the center-median is repaired.

CHP told drivers to expect delays and use an alternate route if possible.
