Who’s the cutest pooch in the Modesto area? Vote for your top dogs in our first round

It’s time to sit, stay and vote. The Modesto Bee’s Cutest Dog Contest is now open. We received close to 100 submissions and have split the voting into two polls of about 40 dogs each.

Both of our Round 1 polls are open!

Vote for at least one but no more than eight of your favorite dogs to move them on in the competition. You can vote as many times as you want. Four dogs from each group — a total of eight top dogs — will move on to the next round.

Voting is open from now until Friday, Nov. 8, at 11:59 p.m. The eight semifinalists will move on to Round 2, which will begin on Saturday, Nov. 9. Good luck to all the adorable pups!
