BMW driver dead after solo-vehicle crash in east Modesto roundabout. No other occupants
One person died in a solo-vehicle crash in east Modesto early Thursday morning, according to the Modesto Police Department.
Around 1 a.m., officers responded to a solo-vehicle crash at the intersection of Roselle and Floyd Avenues. The intersection is a roundabout.
A preliminary investigation indicates the driver of a black BMW was traveling westbound on Floyd Avenue when they lost control of the vehicle and collided with a concrete wall at the northeast corner of the intersection, police said.
Officers found the driver pinned inside the vehicle. The Modesto Fire Department assisted in extricating the person, according to a news release.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.
