We want to find the Modesto area’s cutest cat. The Bee is taking contest submissions now

Is your cat the cutest in the Modesto area? We’re calling on all those who have furry friends to enter The Modesto Bee’s cutest cat contest.
We know there are a lot of proud “parents” of cats out there — from Tabbies to Calicos, Ragdolls to Maine Coons and everything in between. So show us what you’ve got, Meowdesto!
You can nominate your cat (or cats) by emailing beephoto@modbee.com.
To enter, tell us about your cat and include:
▪ Name (include nicknames)
▪ Age
▪ Breed (If known)
▪ The kitty’s favorite hobby, or a fun fact about it
▪ Photo
Please make sure to include your contact information.
The contest will run through Wednesday, Sept. 11. Submissions are being accepted now through Wednesday, Aug. 28.
First-round voting: Thursday, Aug. 29, through Monday, Sept. 2. Eight cats will move on.
Second round: Tuesday, Sept. 3, through Friday, Sept. 6. Four cats move on.
Final round: Saturday, Sept. 7, through Wednesday, Sept. 11, after which a top cat will be crowned.
Contest is open to all, but you must be a subscriber to vote.
Results announced: Friday, Sept.13. Votes reset after each round, and voting will end at 11:59 p.m. If you’re a subscriber, you will be able to vote as many times as you want. To subscribe, visit modbee.com/subscribe for a list of offers, including your first month for 99 cents.
The winner will be featured on modbee.com with a story about the cat and its owner.
