What does moderate heat risk mean?
The heat risk scale, or the weather service’s HeatRisk Prototype, provides a forecast that shows the likelihood of heat-related problems occurring.

Zero means little or no risk, while a 4 indicates extreme risk.
This weekend’s heat risk will be 2, or, moderate
“This level of heat affects most heat-sensitive groups, especially those without adequate hydration and/or cooling,” the National Weather Service said on X.
