Stanislaus County animal shelter offers free pet adoptions for a limited time. Here’s when

Looking to bring a new cat or dog into your life?

The Stanislaus Animal Services Agency is offering free pet adoptions for a limited time.

“After the Fourth of July, our shelter will see a big increase in strays,” the agency said in an Instagram post. “SASA is here to help our furry friends find their fur-ever homes.”

From Friday through July 12, “You can bring home a new family member at no cost,” Animal Services said.

“Whether you’re a cat person or a dog lover, we’ve got the perfect companion waiting just for you,” the agency said.

Both cats and dogs will be free to adopt.

Where is Stanislaus County animal shelter? When is it open?

The Stanislaus Animal Services Agency is at 3647 Cornucopia Way in Modesto.

These are the agency’s operating hours:

  • Sunday: Noon to 4 p.m.
  • Monday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Thursday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Friday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
