Temperatures will lower before they start climbing again, and there are other weather conditions that may affect how you plan your outfit.
Here’s the forecast for the weekend through Halloween, and information about advisories in the area:
Hazardous weather conditions in Stanislaus County
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the San Joaquin Valley, including Modesto. The advisory is in effect 8 a.m. Saturday through 2 p.m. Sunday.
Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects, according to the weather service, and tree limbs could be blown down. A few power outages may result.
A Red Flag Warning is also in effect from early Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon. Gusty winds and low humidity in the region caused the watch, according to meteorologists.
The weather service does not recommend outdoor burning.
Halloweekend forecast in Modesto
Here’s the forecast for Halloween weekend, according to the National Weather Service:
Friday- High near 68 with west/northwest winds 5 to 8 mph. Low around 45 with northwest wind 6 to 8 mph.
Saturday- High near 67 with northwest wind seven to 12 mph, increasing to 13 to 18 mph in the afternoon. Low around 47 with northwest wind 11 to 18 mph. Gusts could be as high as 24 mph during the day and night.
Sunday- High near 67 with northwest wind eight to 11 mph. Low around 41.
Monday- High near 69. Low around 43.
Tuesday- High near 70. Low around 44.
