Bee Curious, Modesto. We’re launching a new community-driven project — starring you
Modesto, what’s on your mind?
What are the things that make you go, “hmm?” What questions do you have about the goings-on of Stanislaus County?
Are you ever commuting when a thought pops into your head, like: “I have an international flight in three weeks and no idea where my passport is. How long does it take to replace?” Or driving through town running errands, do you remember every traffic law? How soon you can enter the bike line before turning?
What about a quirkier question, like whether you can keep a raccoon as a pet?
We’re excited to launch our newest community-driven project: Bee Curious.
You might remember Bee Investigator, where you asked us questions, or pointed out something that was happening in the area, and we investigated the answer. This is sort of like that, but through our California service journalism team that focuses on helping you navigate life in your community on a daily basis.
The Sacramento Bee launched Bee Curious in 2022, and now it’s coming to Modesto, led by me — Dominique Williams.
Be curious, Modesto. What do you wonder? We want to hear your questions — serious, mundane and everything in between.
How to submit questions to The Bee
You can submit questions by emailing Modesto’s service journalist directly at dwilliams@modbee.com, our service journalism desk servicejournalists@modbee.com, or by filling out our form at this link — or below.
If we pick your question, we’ll reach out and invite you along on our reporting process (up to you if you want to join! We’ll answer your question anyway.)
