These 5 local Modesto coffee shops are serving fall-flavored drinks — pumpkin spice included
Fall is in the air and people are ready to get their pumpkin spice on.
Starbucks and Dutch Bros are popular go-tos when looking for fall-inspired coffee drinks, but don’t sleep on Modesto’s local coffee shops. They have seasonal menus, too.
A Modesto Bee reporter visited a handful of these businesses to ask about their options and try some of the drinks. Here’s where you can find all things pumpkin, apple and more:
Culture Coffee Bar
2801 McHenry Ave. Suite A
Culture Coffee has both seasonal coffee drinks and snacks on its menu. You don’t have to search hard for the options, because they have a menu on display right at the counter where you order.
We tried the apple brown sugar latte, which you can also get decaf. It was mildly sweet and felt like fall.

Lucille currently has one seasonal coffee drink — a maple cinnamon latte. Baristas make it with a true maple and cinnamon syrup which, really, can be added to any drink, but they recommend it in a hot latte.
Mocha Magic Cafe & Bake Shop
920 16th St.
Mocha Magic has several seasonal offerings ready for those who want to get festively caffeinated (and those who don’t).
- Pumpkin pie horchata
- Fireside chai (flavors of orange and butterscotch)
- Caramel apple latte
- Nutella mocha
- Pumpkin pie latte
Preservation Coffee & Tea
1030 J St.
Preservation also has a maple cinnamon latte with house made syrup, which we tasted. It was a cinnamon forward, ultra creamy cup of autumn.
They also have a cookie butter latte, and said pumpkin-flavored drinks would be coming soon.
The Queen Bean Coffee House
1126 14th St.
The Queen Bean is serving all things pumpkin this season. The shop has a pumpkin spice chai latte, a white pumpkin mocha and, of course, a pumpkin spice latte.
