Modesto native Jeremy Renner has a new role. Read about his latest venture
Modesto son Jeremy Renner has a new role: vodka company co-owner.
The Academy Award-nominated actor posted on Instagram earlier this summer about his new venture with Sweet Grass Vodka.
“I’m so grateful for the progress I’ve made since the start of this year, which allowed me to move forward with my interest in Sweet Grass Vodka. Their mission is rooted in community and shared experience, which is why the second I tried it, I knew I wanted to become a part of it. I’m excited for new ventures ahead,” Renner posted on Instagram.
The Beyer High graduate continues to recover from a snowplow accident that left him seriously injured Jan. 1.
Sweet Grass Vodka is made in Charleston, South Carolina. Renner has joined CEO Jarrod Swanger and his wife, Alicia Swanger, as co-owners of the company, according to a story on The Spirits Business website.
The product contains potatoes, water and yeast, along with a single strand of sweetgrass in each bottle, according to the Sweet Grass Vodka website.
“There’s a piece of Charleston in every bottle,” the website says.
The Spirits Business story said Renner was expected to take part in a cross-country appearance and bottle-signing tour for the vodka.
