The city of Ceres held its inaugural Skies the Limit hot-air balloon festival at River Bluff Regional Park on Saturday.
To see liftoff, spectators had to be up and out of the house early. Ten balloonist teams participated, and seven had launches between 6 and 7 a.m. One balloon was to offer tethered, up-and-down rides until 11 a.m.
But the festival was set to run until 3 p.m., offering food and craft vendors, live music, a kids activities zone, a beer garden, a car show and more.
The festival is free to attend. River Bluff Regional Park is at 3761 Hatch Road.
