Pedestrian fatally struck by train near Modesto Transportation Center downtown
A person was struck and killed by a train Saturday evening in the area of I Street between Eighth and Ninth streets in downtown Modesto, according to police.
The incident was about 6 p.m., Lt. Mike Hammond said. The train was northbound, and the location of the crash was by the Modesto Transportation Center.
No information on the person killed was available Sunday.
