Deadline to enter a float for downtown Modesto holiday parade is Nov. 12

Want to enter a float in Modesto’s Celebration of Lights Parade in early December?

You have until Nov. 12 to do so.

The parade will be held in downtown Modesto on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021.

The theme this year is “Hometown Traditions.” Entries will be judged based on creativity, originality and the use of lights, music and the theme.

Entry forms – found at modestogov.com/2429/Parade-Entry-Application – must be mailed to Tony Amaral, City of Modesto Parks, Recreation and Neighborhoods Department, P.O. Box 642, Modesto, CA 95353.

They can be hand-delivered to the Parks, Recreation and Neighborhoods Department office at 1010 10th St., Suite 4400, by 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 12.
