How a call from a neighbor led to the arrests of burglary suspects in Sonora
Two people were arrested on various charges in Sonora after a caller reported to the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Department that her apartment was being broken into.
Around 6 a.m. on Monday, the caller, who was not home, was alerted by a neighbor who saw the alleged crime being committed.
When deputies arrived, they saw “flashlights moving from within the apartment” and gave commands to 28-year-old Mickey Ringer of Sonora and 35-year-old Bonnie Palmer of Sonora to exit.
They were both searched and taken into custody and the search found items belonging to the residents of the apartment, a large amount of methamphetamine, and cash.
Ringer was arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of methamphetamine for sale, and conspiracy to commit a crime and Palmer was arrested on suspicion of the same charges with an additional charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
