Delhi man arrested in connection to March kidnapping, domestic violence incident
The Merced County Sheriff’s Department arrested a man Friday who was wanted for kidnapping and domestic violence.
According to a department Facebook post, the Sheriff’s STAR Team was searching for 23-year-old Gerardo Partida, of Delhi. Partida was wanted for a March 13 incident in which he allegedly forced the mother of his child into a vehicle and assaulted her, causing serious injury, the Facebook post said.
The STAR Team tracked Partida to the M&M Market in Delhi on Friday and arrested him without incident.
He was booked into the Merced County Jail on charges of mayhem, attempted kidnapping, felony domestic violence and felony vandalism, according to the post.
