Update: Modesto girl last seen leaving junior high Tuesday has been found safe

Update: The Modesto police department has just reported that Zoey Ferrell has been found safe.

Original story: Police are looking for a 13-year-old girl last seen leaving La Loma Junior High School on Encina Avenue on Tuesday afternoon about 3:30.

Zoey Ferrell was wearing blue jeans, a blue-gray T-shirt and a gray zippered jacket. Police know of no suspicious circumstances to her disappearance, but the department treats children that young as being at risk, spokeswoman Sharon Bear said.

Anyone who sees Zoey or knows of her whereabouts is urged to call the Police Department’s non-emergency line at 209-552-2470.
