Info: The Independent Districting Advisory Committee is hosting a community meeting to get the public’s ideas in the creation of six City Council election districts. People will hear about the districting process and how they can help by drawing their own maps. They also will be asked to help define their neighborhoods. YESTERYEARS
25 YEARS AGO: San Francisco filed a lawsuit in Alameda Superior Court challenging the Modesto Irrigation District’s environmental impact report on its proposed water treatment plant. Two environmental groups, San Joaquin Raptor/Wildlife Rescue Center and Citizens for a Healthy Environment, also filed suit against MID.
