A driver escaped injury after crashing into two trees and a building Monday on Yosemite Boulevard between Burney and Groveland streets in Modesto.

The accident occurred around 7:30 a.m. The crashed GMC Yukon came to rest facing west, up on the sidewalk next to the eastbound lanes of Yosemite.

The accident knocked down two trees and totaled the vehicle. A Modesto police officer said the driver was not injured but was transported by ambulance as a precaution. The officer did not know what caused the accident.
