Pirates push on as MJC holds commencement
More than 450 students in the Class of 2015 walked the stage to receive their associate degrees from Modesto Junior College, which held its commencement ceremony Friday night in the stadium on the east campus. The ceremony included the graduate address by Peter Quiales. A native of Modesto, Quiales studied business, accounting and communication studies at MJC and is a member of the MJC Psychology Club. The graduation program also included presentation of the 2015 MJC Distinguished Alumni Award to Harold A. Peterson III, former chief executive officer and president of Community Hospice.
