YESTERYEARS
50 YEARS AGO: The Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors approved a fee increase for the county bus system. Beginning July 1, Stanislaus Regional Transit riders began to pay 15 cents more to ride the bus. This kept up with the state requirements that fares must pay for at least 10 percent of the bus system’s operating costs.
