COUNTY FAIR ACTIVITY KITS AVAILABLE NOW

Activity kits become available Tuesday for the Stanislaus County Fair’s School Involvement Program, sponsored by the Turlock Chamber of Commerce Ag Committee. This year, the focus is on the Friends of the Fair Foundation tag line, “Make Your Imprint Count.” Students will create handprint farm animals, and a group project will allow them to choose and showcase a specific farm animal, along with educational facts. Curriculum kits will assist teachers with instructing students about the agricultural industry and its importance to our lives. The kits include a book and activities for the classroom so that each classroom can create a farm animal of their own. The kits are available at the fair’s exhibit office, 900 N. Broadway, Turlock. Kits may be picked up or turned in weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. The deadline for projects to be turned in is June 30.
