Info: Modesto High School’s Paws Rescue Club is holding a doggie treat raffle to benefit homeless pets and owners in conjunction with Church in the Park, a weekly church service and meal provided for homeless people. Info: The Modesto Junior College Civic Engagement Project and Operation Green are hosting an Earth Day celebration featuring ideas on how to recycle, protect the environment, conserve energy and “live green.” Participants include the MJC Great Valley Museum, Tuolumne River Trust, Citizen’s Climate Lobby and Sierra Club.
