Two-alarm fire in Modesto displaces 3
A two-alarm fire at a mobile home park in the 1200 block of South Carpenter Road displaced three adults Friday afternoon. The fire started on the porch of the mobile home but a cause had not been determined as of late Friday afternoon, said Modesto Fire Department spokeswoman Jessica Smart. It took firefighters about 40 minutes to get the blaze under control and brought response from six engines, a truck and two battalion chiefs. The fire caused about $85,000 in damage. The Red Cross was called to provide assistance to the three people who live there.
