Info: The American Cancer Society will hold a Bark for Life event including a lap walk, music, food and treats, games, canine contests – best costume, best trick, largest and smallest dogs, etc. – grooming and rescue group information, and a possible visit from the Modesto Police Department K-9 Unit. Westside Animals for Adoption will have available dogs of all sizes that are eager to find a home. Drop off computer monitors, TVs, LCD screens, plasma screens, laptops, computer towers, printers, copiers, fax machines, calculators, stereo systems, telecommunications equipment, network equipment, keyboards, computer mice, VCRs, DVD players, speakers, cellphones and telephones. 75 YEARS AGO: Mrs. Ben T. Scott, along with her husband, left for Washington, D.C., to represent Turlock and the state of California in the National Folk Festival sponsored by The Washington Post. The festival was set for April 25-27.
