Stanislaus County
What: DMV PRACTICE TESTS
Info: The Stanislaus County Library, in partnership with DrivingTests.org, is offering free online access to California driver manuals for vehicle, motorcycle and commercial driving, as well as free practice tests for DMV permits. These resources are available through a link on the Stanislaus County Library website. The site also offers a “read-aloud” toolbar that may be used to hear selections read aloud, turn passages into MP3s, translate pages into other languages or magnify text. Oakdale
What: WOMEN’S CLUB MEETING
When: Tuesday, noon
Where: Oakdale Golf and Country Club, 243 N. Stearns Road
Info: The Oakdale Women’s Club meeting will feature a fashion show, money hat drawing and lunch consisting of turkey pecan croissant with sliced fruit and bread pudding for dessert. Cost is $16. For more information or to reserve a seat, call Karen Barajas at (209) 848-2231.
Turlock
What: DANCE PARTY
When: Wednesday, 10:30 a.m.
Where: Turlock branch of the Stanislaus County Library, 550 Minaret Ave.
Info: Children are invited to join the library for a dance party. The program will begin with group dances, followed by an opportunity for freestyle individual dance. Escalon
What: ACCORDION MUSIC AND SOCIAL
When: Wednesday, 7 p.m.
Where: Escalon Community Center, 1055 Escalon Ave.
Info: The Good Time Accordion Club will hold its monthly music and social event. Accordion fans and accordionists of all levels are welcome. There will be a special guest performance by Murl Allen Sanders, acclaimed Seattle-area accordionist and composer. Admission is $5.

YESTERYEARS
75 YEARS AGO: Twenty volumes of books ranging from religion to biographies were donated to Sonora Union High School during an assembly. The books were a gift from the class of 1939.
