YESTERYEARS
75 YEARS AGO: Kindergarten mothers in five Modesto City Schools – Enslen, John Muir, Capitol, Franklin and Washington – joined their students in a program in which the mothers would learn and become members of the kindergarten staff. Each school had 20 students, and 75 of the 100 mothers enrolled in the program.
