Pinewood cars run on girl power
About 60 girls took part in the Girl Scouts Powder Puff Pinewood Derby on Saturday, held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Modesto. Each competitor received a kit with pinewood to create her car. The girls then placed them atop the sloping track and let gravity carry them to the floor. They created designs on the cars that included Girl Scout Cookies, flowers and “The A-Team.”
