What: ENDING CULTURE OF VIOLENCE AT SCHOOLS

Where: Martin G. Petersen Education Center, 720 12th St.

Info: A panel discussion on “Ending the Culture of Violence on School and College Campuses” will feature local public safety officials, college representatives and mental health professionals. It is coordinated by the American Association of University Women and sponsored by the Stanislaus County Office of Education, League of Women Voters and International Society for Key Women Educators. YESTERYEARS

75 YEARS AGO: The Oakdale Garden Club adopted a five-year planting plan of oak trees at its meeting in the Dorado Clubhouse. The club also voted to talk with the planning commission of the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce in an effort to interest the commission in the planting project.
