Stanislaus County supervisors begin their terms

Stanislaus County Supervisors Vito Chiesa, Kristin Olsen and Jim DeMartini were sworn into office Tuesday by Superior Court Presiding Judge Ricardo Cordova. Chiesa and DeMartini are starting third and fourth terms, respectively, while Olsen is the newest board member after terming out of the state Assembly. After the ceremony, Chiesa was chosen to serve as chairman of the Board of Supervisors this year. DeMartini is vice chairman.
