Missing Turlock man safely home

A 71-year Turlock man who was missing for five days returned home Tuesday.

Carl Douglas Handy hadn’t been seen by family since Thursday and was believed to be confused. The Turlock Police Department issued a silver alert Tuesday, but Handy returned home later that day.

Officers contacted Handy at his home and confirmed he was safe and there were no unusual circumstances involving his absence.
