Turlock police seek missing older man

Authorities in Turlock have issued a Silver Alert for a 71-year-old man who hasn’t been seen for five days.

According to the Turlock Police Department, Carl Douglas Handy is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. He has gray hair and hazel eyes.

Handy last was seen Thursday in the 3000 block of Washington Road. Authorities believe he is driving a white Mitsubishi 3000 GT with California license number 5EZD921.

“If Mr. Handy is seen, please do not approach him as he may be confused and scared,” police said in a news release. “Please contact your local law enforcement agency immediately.”
