Coronavirus update, Oct. 14: Stanislaus has zero deaths for second straight day
Stanislaus County reported zero deaths to COVID-19 for the second straight day Wednesday. It has had only one since Friday, Oct. 8.
The toll remained at 1,302 residents since April 2020, the county Health Services Agency said.
Positive tests stood at 75,833 with the 126 added Wednesday. Stanislaus also has 902,709 negative test results and 73,077 people who are presumed recovered.
Other details:
Hospital cases: The county’s five hospitals had 114 patients with confirmed COVID-19 on Wednesday, up from 105 on Tuesday. The count had topped 300 during the worst of the summer surge. Adults in intensive care dropped by three Wednesday to 35.
Positivity rates: On the state dashboard Wednesday, where numbers reflect the previous day, the seven-day positivity rate was 7%, down from 6.8% the previous day and an increase of 0.2% from the prior seven days. The rolling seven-day rate a month ago was 9.5%.
Vaccines: As of Wednesday, 84.6% of eligible county residents (those 12 and older) had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 58.5% were fully vaccinated, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
