Stanislaus County temporarily closing board meetings to public amid coronavirus outbreak

The Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors is temporarily closing its meetings to the public due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The live meetings, which are held in downtown Modesto at Tenth Street Place, will be available online and on cable TV. Those who want to make a public comment can do so by phone or via email. The next meeting is Tuesday at 9 a.m.

The meetings will be livestreamed at www.stancounty.com/sclive. You also can watch the meeting live or replayed on local cable television. The list of stations can be found at www.stancounty.com/board/broadcasting-schedule.shtm.

If you wish to make comment by telephone, call the Clerk of the Board office in advance of the meeting at 209-525-4494 for instructions. Be prepared to provide your name, a number where you can be reached during the meeting and if you wish to speak during public comment or on a particular agenda item.

Written comments can be emailed by 5 p.m. Monday prior to the day of the meeting at cobsupport@stancounty.com. Your written comment will be distributed to the Board of Supervisors and kept on file as part of official record of the board meeting.
