The Central Valley Water Summit hosted by The Modesto Bee and the City of Modesto at the Gallo Center for the Arts was held on Wednesday, July 15, 2015. The event was an community forum on water in the Central Valley.

The moderator for the event was Carol Whiteside, ex-Modesto mayor and founder of the Great Valley Center. Joining Whiteside as panelists were Assemblywoman Kristin Olsen; the state's chief water policymaker, Felicia Marcus; Groundwater expert Sarge Green; Modesto businessman and former Modesto Irrigation District President Jeff Cowan; and Randy Fiorini, a Turlock farmer who chairs the Delta Stewardship Council.
