Officers arrived just after 4:30 p.m. at the 1400 block of W. Andrews Ave. regarding a woman who attempted to take a child; Tyiesha Davis was arrested.

Police said Davis grabbed the juvenile and forcefully pulled their hair while forcing them into the vehicle.

The 8-year-old got away, ran to a nearby home and pounded on the front door until someone opened it.

Davis remains booked at Fresno County jail on charges of kidnapping, false imprisonment, and child endangerment.

Jail records show her bail is set at $85,000.

Earlier on Wednesday, man was arrested after good Samartians were able to stop a vehicle from driving away in a stolen vehicle with two children inside.

Police said the incidents are unrelated.
