A Powerball ticket sold in California fell just one number short of winning the $396 million jackpot, lottery officials said.
Instead, the lucky ticket won $46,366.
The ticket matched four winning numbers and the Powerball in the drawing Saturday, July 4, the California State Lottery said.

The lucky ticket was sold at 97 Cents Plus at 12719 Valley View Ave. in La Mirada near Los Angeles, lottery officials said.
