Lucky player hits six-figure jackpot on 50-cent bet at Sacramento casino

A gambler at Thunder Valley Casino Resort near Sacramento won a six-figure progressive jackpot on a single spin on a “Lightning Buffalo Link” slot machine, casino officials reported.

The player won $132,705 on a 50-cent bet Sunday, June 28. It’s the 23rd six-figure jackpot at the casino in 2026.

“If there were ever a cure for the Sunday blues, this would be it,” said Dawn Clayton, general manager of Thunder Valley Casino Resort. “Seeing huge six-figure wins like this on any day of the week is the excitement we love to celebrate here at Thunder Valley.”

Thunder Valley Casino Resort at 1200 Athens Ave. in Lincoln has 3,500 slot machines and 89 table games. It is about 35 miles northeast of Sacramento.
