Player lands six-figure jackpot on 25-cent slot machine, Sacramento casino says

A gambler at Thunder Valley Casino Resort near Sacramento hit a $546,789 jackpot on a 25-cent progressive slot machine Monday, casino officials reported.

The player won the jackpot with a $3.75 bet on a “Dollar Storm Mega Grand Link — Wild Ninja” slot machine, the casino said in a news release.

“Our guest clearly didn’t bring the Sunday Scaries into Monday,” said Dawn Clayton, general manager of Thunder Valley Casino Resort.

Thunder Valley Casino Resort, at 1200 Athens Ave. in Lincoln, has 3,500 slot machines and 89 table games. It is about 20 miles northeast of Sacramento.
