Fried chicken lovers looking for restaurants in California are in luck because 10 spots in the state have been recognized among the nation’s best, according to a new Yelp report.
These restaurants range from cities across the state and vary from classic soul food to Nashville hot chicken and Korean dishes.
Yelp’s list highlights 25 of the “Best places to grab some fried chicken” in the U.S. for National Fried Chicken Day on July 6.
One California restaurant nearly landed the top spot on the list.
Le Coupe in Los Angeles earned the No. 2 spot, and Yelp reviewers raved about its “juicy” meat and “savory breading.”
The menu includes a spicy chicken sandwich and a bone-in thigh, which is marinated in buttermilk for 24 hours, fried, topped with chili honey and served with “Slap Ya Mama” hot sauce and puffed chicken skins.
The customers have plenty of sides to choose from, such as southern potato salad, mac and cheese, corn ribs or blue corn bread.
