California city among top 2022 spring break spots. What other places made the list?
A California city was ranked one of the most popular spring break destinations this year.
The study conducted by Yelp looked at “consumer interest in the hotel and travel categories” to determine cities with the highest levels of activity during the spring break travel period in March.
Santa Barbara ranked among the top destinations to spend spring break in 2022, according to the Yelp ranking shared on March 24.
The coastal destination earned its place thanks to its landscape of scenic mountains and beaches and its perfect waves for surfing – with interest in the city up 122% compared to last year, according to Yelp.
Other popular spring break spots included Bradenton, a city about 45 miles south of Tampa, Florida. Tourists turned to Bradenton to enjoy the sun, beaches, but also golf, according to the ranking.
But spring break isn’t just about laying in the sun, cocktail in hand – visitors also turned to destinations in Wyoming and Arizona for a more adventurous vacation.
Jackson, Wyoming, made the list thanks to its variety of popular activities like rafting and tubing.
Similarly, Prescott, Arizona, earned its spot with its 450 miles of trails in the Prescott National Forest, one of the best spots for mountain biking, according to Yelp.
