Boulder sends drunk driver flying after hitting California roundabout, video shows
A speeding BMW flies through the air down a deserted Southern California street early Thursday after slamming into a roundabout in a video, KTLA reports.
The driver hit the traffic circle in Long Beach at 2 a.m. going at least 70 mph, KCBS reported.
“Too fast,” said Marcelino Ruiz, who owns two of the four parked cars damaged in the incident, according to the station. The driver was not hurt.
The BMW launched into the air after striking a boulder in the roundabout, which rolled into the street and hit some of the parked cars, KABC reported.
A nearby security camera recorded the crash at West 6th Street and Daisy Avenue, KTLA reported.
Police arrested Marisela Ovalle, 27, on suspicion of drunken driving, KCBS reported.
