A Los Angeles man who police say brutally beat and robbed a woman in a Las Vegas elevator has been arrested.
James Moore, a 43-year-old Los Angeles man, was seen on a surveillance video Jan. 15 throwing an elderly woman on the ground inside the elevator in Las Vegas, KABC reported.
He allegedly put her in a headlock and punched her in the face multiple times, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said in a news release.
Police say he then took the woman’s purse and left the elevator. Moore was arrested Thursday by the Los Angeles Police Department.
“James Moore has been arrested by the LAPD and is currently being held on a No Bail warrant,” Las Vegas police tweeted. “He is currently awaiting extradition for robbery of an elderly person and battery by strangulation of an elderly person.”
